Darryl loves working with clients to solve legal conundrums. In practice, Darryl has represented clients with advertising, licensing, corporate communications, partnerships, regulatory issues, government investigations and other corporate transactions. Darryl previously practiced at Taylor Klein Oballa LLP and has worked with Deloitte LLP’s and Risk Advisory Group.
Darryl speaks French fluently. He holds honours degrees in economics and journalism. Darryl has also completed negotiation training at Harvard Law school in Boston. Darryl is a former Canadian Bar Association Entertainment Media and Communications Law section chair and former elected representative for students on the University of King’s College Board of Governors.
Prior to being called to the bar, Darryl worked as an investigative reporter for the Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC). Darryl has worked on a number of award winning television series including reporting on the CBC’s flagship news program, The National, as well as hosting the International Emmy Award winning investigative television series Street Cents.
