
Associate Lawyer
Darryl takes pride in finding practical, strategic, and creative solutions to problems for his clients. Darryl has led and worked on a number of bank and investor class-action investigations. His practice involves acting for shareholders and other stakeholders in corporate and securities litigation disputes.
Darryl spent the early part of his legal career practicing at a top entertainment law firm. He has also worked as in-house counsel at a large union. Darryl has provided transactional and litigation counsel to clients on a variety of subjects including employment, intellectual property, media, and regulatory matters.
Prior to being called to the bar, Darryl was an investigative reporter. He was a journalist and producer on flagship Canadian Broadcasting Corporation news programs, including The National. Darryl was also the host of an International Emmy Award winning investigative television series.
Darryl has earned a B.A. (Hons.) in economics from Dalhousie University (2001), a Bachelor of Journalism (Hons.) from the University of King’s College (2001), and a J.D. from Dalhousie University (2006). Darryl completed negotiation training at Harvard Law School (2009). He was admitted to practice law in Ontario (2011).
