Senior Associate

Antitrust and Shareholder Litigation
Detroit/Windsor or Toronto

Morganti & Co. is seeking a senior associate to take the front line responsibility of projects relating to antitrust and securities/shareholder class actions representing investors and victims of investment frauds and misrepresentations.  The candidate will take first or second chair roles in corresponding with examinations/depositions, and court arguments/submissions.

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of corporate litigation experience.  Exposure to prior antitrust or shareholder litigation is required.  This experience preferably will have been gained at a nationally recognized law firm in Ontario or Quebec.  Candidates must possess excellent analytical and writing skills, have familiarity with Canadian Competition Act or the provincial Securities Acts, the rules of civil procedure and provincial class proceedings acts, prior leadership over junior associates is mandatory, and be comfortable independently and with colleagues.   Candidates are not required to have a book of business.

The compensation package includes a base salary between $130,000 and $180,000, and eligible to a subjective bonus valued between 10% and 50% of the base salary.
